What have I been up to?

So, maybe you’ve found yourself wondering, “What’s happened to Liz and all that ‘writing’ she’s supposedly doing.” Well my lovelies sit back, get comfy, I’ll go slow so the kids in the back can hear, and I’ll tell you all about it.

I’m still doing it. I took a break for a while and tried to figure out what I was doing with it. Hashed out some ideas and decided that not telling everyone what I was up to was the best option. They say that if you tell someone you’re going to do something you’ll lose motivation for doing it because your brain gets the message that you’ve done it. Or something like that…check out this Ted Talk for more on what I mean about keeping your goals to yourself.

What does this mean for you? Nothing, I’ve posted a couple of things to my website but you probably never check it or even knew about it. There are a couple of comic books scripts up and a couple of blog posts with story snippets in them. Mind you the snippets aren’t finished or 100% polished. They are after all bits of larger projects and all that editing will get done when I get done.

I’ve been doing a lot of work trying to figure out what I want on my website and its purpose. I’ve also been working on my publishing company, mainly for self-publishing myself. But you never know where that road may lead.

So friends, there you have. Yes, I’m still writing. No, I won’t be droning on about projects like I have done in the past. Yes, I’m still in school going after my MFA. Yes, that’s a story all on it’s own.

Tell me, what have you been up to? Drop me a line in the comment section.

Thanks for the update! It seems you have indeed been pretty busy. I am going to keep it short and simple for you, so here goes. Had 2 beautiful kids, got a divorce (kind of…wasn’t technically married but after 11 years, might as well be), college somewhere between all of that, joined the military (Navy!!), got engaged to an amazing man this past February, and just made the move to Virginia! Oh, life sure is grand, huh? Okay, okay, more like just okay but I just bought a just bought a spiralizer (http://www.williams-sonoma.com/m/products/paderno-spiralizer-4-blade/?pkey=e%7Cspiralizer%7C59%7Cbest%7C0%7C1%7C15%7C%7C3&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH) and there just isn’t no stopping this smile right now! Ha!

Hmmmm…I am glad you posted this. Would you be interested in publishing my book? It’s called…How to survive in the deep south with only a top hat and a spoon. I love and miss you! Happy writing! 🙂
